Last time I said more on that soon. This is that. Most photographers don't actually have a lighting style. What they have is a Lightroom preset and a bunch of reference shots they're trying to recreate. Building their whole aesthetic around what looks good on Instagram instead of what actually works for clients. Chasing whatever's popular on Instagram right now doesn't build trust with clients. Consistency does. Knowing what they're getting every single time they hire you does. The photographers who build real businesses do something different. They figure out what works for them. What they enjoy. What gets them the best results. Then they lean into that and stop second guessing it. Over time that becomes something clients recognise. Something they trust. Something they come back for. Your lighting style is a business asset. But only if it's actually yours. Most of you came in through the light painting guide. Curious how you've gone with it. Tried it yet? Got questions? Just hit reply. I read every one. Talk soon, Mitch |
